"LA PIEL DE LA TIERRA"

Fresque murale réalisée lors de ma résidence artistique dans le village de Baena, dans la région de Cordoue, en Espagne. Cette peinture s’inspire du travail de l’artiste peintre et sculpteur espagnol Paco Ariza, originaire de Baena et figure artistique emblématique locale. Le travail de Paco explore son rapport au ciel et à la terre. Ses peintures et sculptures évoquent son désir de voler, d’être un homme-oiseau, à travers des peintures vues du ciel, tout en restant profondément ancrées dans sa terre natale, les paysages andalous et son environnement. Dans ma fresque, j’ai souhaité reprendre cette idée d’homme-oiseau à travers un personnage évoluant dans un paysage surréaliste et minéral, entouré d’oiseaux, en m’inspirant d’une forme issue de l’une de ses sculptures.

“LA PIEL DE LA TIERRA”

Mural created during my artistic residency in the town of Baena (Córdoba, Spain).
This painting is inspired by the work of the Spanish painter and sculptor Paco Ariza, a native of Baena and an emblematic local artistic figure. Paco’s work explores his relationship with the sky and the earth. His paintings and sculptures evoke his desire to fly, to be a bird-man, through works seen from above, while remaining deeply rooted in his native land, the Andalusian landscapes, and his surroundings. In my mural, I wanted to revisit this idea of the bird-man through a character evolving in a surreal, mineral landscape, surrounded by birds, drawing inspiration from a form taken from one of his sculptures.

Mural realizado durante mi residencia artística en el pueblo de Baena ( Córdoba, España). Esta pintura está inspirada en el trabajo del pintor y escultor español Paco Ariza, originario de Baena y figura artística emblemática local. El trabajo de Paco explora su relación con el cielo y la tierra. Sus pinturas y esculturas evocan su deseo de volar, de ser un hombre-pájaro, a través de obras vistas desde el cielo, permaneciendo al mismo tiempo profundamente arraigadas a su tierra natal, los paisajes andaluces y su entorno. En mi mural quise retomar esta idea del hombre-pájaro a través de un personaje que evoluciona en un paisaje surrealista y mineral, rodeado de aves, inspirándome en una forma procedente de una de sus esculturas.
